When even after EFM cleaning the suction pressure is not reducing below 0.03 MPa it will be time for CIP operation.
Take MBR modules out of the pool and insert in the cleaning tank filled with chemicals.
Cleaning tank will have to be filled with a blend of 1000~2000 ppm Sodium Hypochlorite (NaOCl) & 5 % Caustic (NaOH) solution for 4~6 hours.
After adequate period of 4 ~6 hours drain the chemicals.
Now flush the modules with clean water.
Now add 1~2% acidic bath (use either Citric or Oxalic or Hydrochloric Acid) and continue for 4 hours. Drain out the acid bath.
Now flush the MBR modules with clean water again.
MBR Advantages
  • Big specific surface area
  • Easy installation & maintenance
  • Smaller footprint,
  • Higher MLSS retention
  • Lower investment
  • Lower operation cost
  • High  Flux Anti Fouling
  • Long Life
  • Good Tensile Strength
